101.               $400

E. Terry & Sons pillar & scroll, 1823-1831.  A second example of this model.  This is a Jeff Villet restoration, so it is wonderfully restored and running. The mahogany veneer is clean and polished, with one near-invisible repair on the door crosspiece.  Both glasses are original, the tablet as well, with modest flaking and some infilling.  The brass urn finials are on wooden posts (2) and a metal post. Both the scrolls and the feet and skirt appear to be untouched and undamaged.  The dial has been professionally cleaned and has good definition and color in the spandrels.  The hands are period.  The 30-hour time-and-strike wooden movement is running and striking as expected, driven by two period weights and regulated by a period pendulum bob.  There is a good label inside and new tin dust covers over the weight pulleys.  There is very little to complain about here.  $400–$500.
