95. $50
Waterbury Clock Co. calendar shelf clock,ca. 1895. I diligently looked through both volumes of Ly’s books on Waterbury clocks but could not find this model. It
may have been a special order or limited run model. There is a Waterbury label on the back but it does not state the model. The oak case is 22.25 inches tall with an old finish, and in need of cleaning. The door glass is period, maybe original; the
dial is paper and replaced. The hands are matched, including the simple calendar hand (you have to reset it at the start of
most months). The signed Waterbury 8-day, time and half-hour strike is running and striking on a wire gong, and there is a dull
Waterbury pendulum; the calendar hand is advancing. The label on the back is dark, brittle, and missing sections. $50–$200.
