Waterbury Clock Co. “Calendar No. 42”, ca. 1891. A
diminutive (24-inch) refinished walnut case with a nice look, two old glasses, and the original painted dials, still in good condition. Note that the calendar dial has the name, patent date, and logo; there has been some touch-up to the calendar dial at the screw mounts. The hands are correct; the 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running, but not as strongly as I would like. There
is an alarm hooked up but not tested; the calendar is advancing properly, with darkened roller papers. There are remnants of
a label on the back. Not a very common model, and no recent sales. $250–$350.
