E.N. Welch Mfg. Co. “Arditi” shelf calendar, ca. 1889.  A second example of this attractive shelf calendar from Welch.  The black walnut case is complete, clean and polished, the door glass is modern.  The dials are old paper with some wear, the hands are correct and likely original.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a wire gong, and the calendars are advancing.  There is a paper instruction label inside, and a dark and worn label on the back.  $350–$450.
