E Ingraham Co. ball-top shelf clock, ca. 1890. This clock is not shown in Ly’s book on Ingraham clocks, but the movement is Ingraham and there is a shred of a label on the back
that is an Ingraham label. Unfortunately, the model name does not remain. The 24.5-inch walnut case has a dark finish
and plenty of patina. The door glass is period but probably a replacement. The paper dial is unsigned, darkened, and with
some losses. The hands are appropriate. The 8-day time-and-strike movement is signed and running and would strike if there
was a gong or bell available; it appears the gong has been removed. There is a cast metal Ingraham pendulum. Note the
metal ornamentation on the crest of the clock; this would have been a better-quality model from Ingraham. Ingraham key included. $75–$150.
