72. $100
E Ingraham Co. “Paladin”, ca. 1884. An uncommon model, 21.25
inches tall in walnut with an old finish; note the black trim at the top and base, and the gilding, now tarnished, around the door. This clock has a unique crest that I like. The door glass is old but not original, the dial is paper and very toned. The
hands are not old but are as shown in the catalog illustration (Ly, Ingraham Clocks & Watches, page 288). The 8-day, time-and-strike
movement is signed and running, striking on the hours on a wire gong. Note the unusual globe pendulum, also shown in the catalog
illustration. There are remnants of an instruction label on the back and the maker name is stamped into the inside bottom. $100–$200.
