Wm L Gilbert Clock Co. “No. 413”, ca. 1898.  It has an Ansonia movement and dial, but the case is Gilbert.  A marriage!  It’s a great looking clock, 10.25 inches tall with cobalt blue coloring and great retention of the gilding on the front and sides.  I see no chips or cracks. The porcelain dial is signed and bears the Ansonia logo, there are no hairlines, and the hands are proper.  There is a beveled glass in the bezel.  The 8-day, time and half-hour strike Ansonia movement is running and striking on a cathedral gong. The model name is shown on the back of the case.  Hard not to like.  $150–$300.
