49.           $100

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Empire No. 0”, ca. 1911.  A bright and shiny, uncomplicated crystal regulator, 10.75 inches tall with clean lines, four beveled glasses, a machined bronzed bezel, and a decorated porcelain dial.  There are two hairline cracks in the dial; the hands are proper.  The 8-day round movement is running and striking on a cathedral gong on the hours and half-hours.  The bright gold finish is quite impressive here. $100–$200.
