Sessions Clock Co. “Crescent No. 15” calendar,ca. 1915. Although the label on the back of this case says “Regulator E”, the case does not match the clock shown in the catalog
illustration for the Regulator E, but rather matches the Crescent No. 15, shown on page 69 of Ly’s book, Sessions Clocks. Both
cases are the same size and so it may be a labeling error, or a swapped backboard. The 38-inch oak case with pressed wood inlays
has been refinished nicely; the dial glass is a modern replacement, the lower glass is likely original. The tin dial shows oxidation
to the bezel, the paper dial is probably a replacement and shows some foxing. The hands are proper Sessions hands, although
the red calendar hand is unusual. The 8-day, time-only movement is signed Sessions and is running, with the calendar advancing. There is also a proper Sessions pendulum bob. A good example. $150–$250.
