16.              $350

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Regulator No. 2”, ca. 1920.  A 36-inch refinished oak and oak veneer case with two modern glasses.  One button is missing off the bottom of the base.  The painted dial looks original with some chipping and a few touch-ups; the Seth Thomas hands are correct.  The 8-day, time-only movement is signed and running, driven by a Seth Thomas brass weight and regulated by a proper ST pendulum stick and bob. There is a yellowed label inside on the bottom.  I have sold more oak No. 2 Regulators than all the cherry, mahogany, and walnut cases combined, 16 over the past five years; the average sale price is $466.  $350–$500.
