6.                $1000

E. Howard & Co. large wall regulator,ca. 1890.  This model is not shown in Ly’s books that list E. Howard clocks, and I could not find a match on LiveAuctioneers or on the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide.   It is likely a limited run model or a special order.  The solid oak case is 67 inches long and 17.5 inches wide with a clean finish; The two outside front-corner top-pieces are replacements, possibly substitutes for some other decorative element.  Note the engravings in the top corners of the door; the glass is old, probably original.  The dial may have been repainted but there are a few chips that still suggest age.  The hands are Howard issue.  The 8-day, time-only, signed movement has steel plates and is driven by a No. 70 weight that runs down the right side. The pendulum stick and heavy damascened bob look original but the screw adjustment at the bottom of the bob looks like a replacement. This clock is running like a champ.  $1000–$2500.
