Carl Leiter three-weight Vienna, ca. 1885(?) A 45.5-inch Vienna in walnut with three old glasses, what appear to be the original finials, and a brass ornament on the crest. The porcelain dial is signed by the presumed retailer in Richenau, and island in Lake Constance in southern Germany. The ornate
hands are likely original. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is unsigned, striking on two wire gongs; the clock counts the
quarter hours on one gong and repeats the hours on the second gong. It will need to be set into sequence, and the quarter-hour
strike is missing the gong. It is running, but not strongly. $250–$500.
