228. $200
Winterhalder & Hofmeier striking bracket clock, ca.
1900. A 16.5-inch black lacquer bracket clock with brass ornamentation and a bim-bam chime on the quarter-hours. The brass
dial has brass ornamentation and a silvered chapter ring marked ‘Gowland Sunderland’, who I believe was the exporter/retailer. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is marked ‘W&H Sch’; it is running and striking the quarter hours on two cathedral gongs;
it counts the hours on one gong. No issues with this beauty. $200–$400.
