S. Marti oval crystal regulator, ca. 1900. A 12-inch oval brass case with four beveled, curved glasses.  The finish is dull and tarnished in places, the glasses are good, with some edge chips on the back door.  The porcelain dial has decorative wreaths and has the name of the Boston retailer, Shreve, Crump & Low Jewelers, dating back to 1796.  The hands are appropriate; it is running and striking on the hours and half-hours on a cathedral gong.  Sealed two-jar mercury pendulum.  $50–$200.
