New Haven Clock Co. “Washington” thirty-day
chiming banjo, ca. 1923. A 41-inch dark mahogany case with an octagonal dial and Mount Vernon glasses, striking and chiming
on the quarter-hours on five rods. A few scuffs to the case, a few flakes off the tablet and throat glass, and light scuffing
to the silvered 8-inch dial. A brass eagle finial on top. The hands are correct and the clock is running, striking,
and chiming (Westminster) as expected. It is spring-driven and the pendulum bob is a replacement. Schmitt Horan sold a
similar example in 2020 for $150. $100–$200.
