Boston production banjo, ca. 1880. I
cannot identify maker of this banjo clock; it is 32 inches long with a brass eagle on top, a mahogany case and two old glasses with
repainted tablets. The dial glass is convex, the painted dial is original, but unsigned; the hands period and proper. The 8-day, time-only, unsigned movement is running, driven by a lead weight with a metal rod pendulum. There is a tie-down on
the metal weight shield, but the pendulum does not reach it. $200–$300.
