E. Howard & Co. “No. 95” banjo, ca.
1923-1934. A 40-inch mahogany case with the original glasses and tablets. There has been some slight touch-up to
the tablet depicting Admiral Perry’s victory on Lake Erie in 1813. The dial glass is convex, the dial with the original paint
and signed, and original hands. The 8-day time-only movement is signed and running, driven by a proper lead weight and damascened
pendulum bob. There is a metal maker's label on the inside bottom of the case. A very nice example; AAC sold a similar
example in 2020 for $1000. $900–$1200.
