Jerome/New Haven (?) Small Regulator,ca. 1880. A 21-inch mahogany case with a brass ring on the dial surround, a brass bezel, and round gilded trim on the drop. This clock closely resembles the Small Regulator, shown on page 162 of Ly’s New Haven Clocks & Watches. Both glasses are
old, the tablet with “Indicator” in gold lettering; much of the black background has been lost. The painted metal dial is likely
original, the hands are correct and period. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is unsigned but looks like Jerome to me. It is running and striking without problem, with a period pendulum bob. No label to be found anywhere. $50–$150.
