Antique American Clocks JULY 2024
148. $350
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Parlor Calendar No. 6”, 1885. A 27.5-inch walnut case with a clean finish. I think the glasses are modern replacements, the dials are likely original and
show some well-done inpainting as well as soiling, fading, and crackling. The hands are also likely original. The 8-day,
time-and-strike signed movement is running and striking on the brass bell, and the calendars are advancing. The roller papers
have been replaced. A very nice example. AAC sold a nice example last year for $444. $350–$500.
