Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 4”, ca. 1885.  A second example of this model, probably the most popular and common Fashion.  The case has been revarnished and possibly with a stain finish.  The finials are not original.  The door glass is period and may be a replacement from another Fashion clock.  Both dials are paper with an antiqued finish.  The hands are correct but the calendar hand is a modified replacement.  The Seth Thomas (marked “made solely for the Southern Calendar Clock Co.”) 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running with a substitute pendulum bob.  The calendars are advancing and there are good labels inside.  $400–$600.
