Terhune & Edwards “Gilt Gothic” iron-front, ca. 1867. The high-relief iron-front is 20.5 inches tall with good retention of the color and several pieces of MOP.  The glasses are period but probably replaced, the dial is paper on a painted pan, yellowed, with replaced but appropriate hands.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is unsigned; it is dirty and needs cleaning, and the strike spring is broken or came unattached.  It runs only briefly. There is a dark Terhune & Edwards label inside.  $100–$200.
