97. $75
Ansonia Clock Co. “King”, ca. 1901. A second
example of this model, this time in oak with a half-hour strike movement. The 24-inch case has been refinished nicely, with
the same door glass as is #PL-23. The dial is again signed paper, lightly yellowed, with proper hands. The 8-day, time-and-strike
movement is signed and running without issue, striking on a small cathedral gong with an Ansonia base. There is a nice nickel
pendulum and a label on the back. Oak or walnut? Maybe both? $75–$150.
