93. $100
New Haven Clock Co. “Indus”, ca. 1881. A 24-inch walnut case with an old and light finish that is a bit bare. The door glass is not original and has applied decals
for decoration. The paper dial is new, the hands appropriate. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is not signed; it runs
briefly and strikes with some reluctance. This is a weight-driven clock, claimed to be the smallest weight-driven clock, with
two small weights that are not original. A nice pendulum and no label. Uncommon, with just three sales over the last ten
years. $100–$200.
