Terry & Andrews 30-hour steeple with alarm, 1842-1850.  A 20-inch steeple with good rosewood veneer with a glossy finish and two cone finials with some damage to the tips. The dial glass is original, the lower glass modern with a modern transfer showing the Maryland State House at Annapolis.  The contoured dial holds the original paint and has been varnished, the hands are not original.  The signed, 30-hour time-and-strike lyre movement is running and striking on a wire gong.  There is an alarm hooked up but not tested and an embossed period pendulum bob.  A toned eagle label on the backwall.  A nice looker.  $50–$150.
