Brewster & Ingrahams 8-day sharp gothic with brass springs, 1843-1852.  A 20-inch case with mahogany veneer and two original glasses.  The tablet is interesting and in good shape, with minor losses and soiling.  The dial is as well, with light soiling and little wear.  The hands are likely original. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol CT; it has wide plates and large brass springs. It is running and striking on a wire gong.  There is a very dark and decaying label inside.  A very original example. $100–$200.
