Birge & Fuller double-steeple with wagon spring movement, 1844-1848.  A 27.5-inch mahogany case with good veneer all around, three original glasses, well preserved Fenn tablets, and an original dial and period hands.  What more could you want?  A Birge & Fuller-signed 8-day movement that is running and striking?  Check.  A functioning accelerating equalizing lever spring (wagon spring)? Check.  A good, legible label behind plastic?  Check.  A period pendulum bob?  Check.  This is as fine an example as I have seen.  $1500–$2500.
