Eli Terry &
Sons pillar & scroll, 1823-1831. A pillar & scroll by the master and his sons, Eli Jr. and Henry. The
31-inch case is in good condition, I believe both glasses are modern and the tablet repainted. The brass urn finials are solid
on wooden posts; the scroll top looks original, as do the skirt and feet. The wooden dial is faded and soiled, the hands
later period replacements. The 30-hour, time-and-strike wooden movement has plastic bushings installed and will run briefly,
longer if you want to give it some attention. There are two old weights and a good label. $200-$400.
