267. $150
Lauer & Kuhn open well swinger, ca. 1906. Lauer & Kuhn
were retailers (German?); this clock has the L&K logo on the gong base and the back of the movement. The hardwood (walnut?)
case is 28 inches long with an embossed metal dial in silver and copper; it sits behind a beveled glass in the door with carved vines
above and below. The pendulum bob matches the dial. The 8-day time and half-hour strike movement will run for a short
while and strikes on the coiled gong. It will need cleaning, and the fabric covers over the side ports will need to be replaced. A nice-looking swinger from the turn of the twentieth century. $150–$300.
