Lorenz Furtwangen & Sohn box clock, ca. 1910. LFS was trademarked
in 1868 and went out of business in 1929; this clock has an LFS logo on the back of the movement and the gong mount. The
31-inch dark oak case has a castle/fortress appearance; there are carvings, rope-twist columns, and nickel ornaments on the front
of the case. The dial glass is modern. The decorated, silvered dial is in good condition with ornate hands. The
movement is spring-driven, time-and-strike on the hours and half-hours. It is running and striking without problem. $200–$400.
