Lenzkirch two-weight Vienna, ca. 1898.  A 45-inch solid oak case
with a clean old finish.  The door glass is old, and there are two side glasses.  The brass engraved dial shows light wear
from polishing, with proper ornate hands.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed with a serial number of 1,201,277, dating
it to about 1898 (Everett, Lenzkirch Clocks, page 34). It has a very weak beat and will not run for more than a minute; it counts
the hours and strikes on the half-hour on a wire gong.  The mounting bracket is unusual, and I could not find it in the reference,
nor could I find the case, which is remarkably simple for this time.  It may be a marriage with a case from the early 1900’s. There are two weights that are engraved and match the engravings on the pendulum bob.  $600–$1000.
