254.          $200

Matthew Norman “Corinthien” carriage clock, ca. 1990.  Matthew Norman is a contemporary Swiss clockmaker who specializes in carriage clocks.  You can find many of his clocks on LiveAuctioneers. This clock is just over 7 inches tall with the handle up, with four beveled glasses and a beveled glass on top to view the platform movement.  The back is inscribed “Eleven jewels unadjusted Swiss made” and “Movement Matthew Norman London 1750”.  It winds and sets from the back and includes a strike and alarm, as well as a key.  It is running but the strike is stuck.  A similar example without the alarm dial sold last year for $200.  $200–$400.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it for a full refund if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
