Westclox “Four in One” rotary calendar alarm, ca. 1950. Well, there
is no maker label or die stamp anywhere to be found on this 1950’s high-style clock, but the patent numbers under the cover all point
to the Western Clock Co. (Westclox). Kal Klok made a similar model, but theirs have a maker label under the lid. There
is a discussion that includes this clock on the NAWCC forum, where I found the name information. The chromed case is 5.5 inches
tall with rotary time, month, day, and date tapes that are viewed through the four windows. The finish on the silvered (nickel
or chrome, not sure which) case is very good, with just slight corrosion scattered about. The lids lifts up to allow you to
wind and set the clock and wind and set the alarm. There is a pull-up rod behind the lid that allows you to advance the month,
day, and date; they do not advance with the time and must be reset every day, as best as I can tell. I oiled the pivots inside
and it is ticking and the clock is advancing; I think it is a one-day clock. I can’t find any sales on LiveAuctioneers or the
Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide, but that may be because the maker name is not evident. I believe I’ll start it
at $50. $50–$150.
