244.         $250

Ansonia Clock Co. “Jumper No. 1”, ca. 1894.  Ansonia made three models of “Jumpers” and this is perhaps the most common.  The tarnished nickel stand is 15.5 inches tall and the base is badly oxidized. Metal polish may help.  The signed paper dial is stained, the hands are replacements.  The porcelain doll is period but not shown in Ly’s descriptions of these clocks; nonetheless, I think Ansonia used a variety of dolls for these clocks over the years, as a review of sales records shows many different dolls.  The clock is running easily, backwind for 30 hours, and the doll is bouncing happily.  You will be too if you win this item!  AAC sold one in 2021 for $435, the most recent sale I can find. $250–$500.
