E. Howard gilt banjo, ca. 1920.  A 32-inch mahogany case with twisted rope gilding on the front.  The glasses are likely original and in excellent condition; the dial glass is convex.  The painted dial holds the original paint with some touch-up; the hands are appropriate.  The brass movement is signed E Howard; I could not test it because there is no pendulum nor weight.  A brass eagle finial on top.  I can provide a lead weight; you find the pendulum.  $100–$200.
