E. Howard & Co. “Bicentennial Banjo”, 1976.  A 40-inch walnut case with bicentennial glasses – the banner on the throat glass lists the 13 original states.  All original, in excellent condition; it is running without problem.  No label or certificate present, but this is no. 61 based on the number stamped into the lower door frame.  The bottom finial has been broken off and restored.  Fontaine’s sold a bicentennial last fall for $1100. $750–$1100.
