217. $150
Brewster & Ingrahams gallery clock, ca. 1850. A small (13.5-inch
diameter), spring-driven pendulum clock. This uncommon clock came from the Anthony Sposato collection (tag on the back). The case is walnut, the glass, possibly a replacement (putty is newer), is domed. The dial is wood in good condition, the hands
likely original. The 8-day, time-only movement is signed and running; note the horizontal orientation and the overhead pendulum
hanger and crutch. There is a good label inside and owner notes on the back. This clock sold at Schmitt Horan in 2019
for $250. $150–$300.
