208.         $350

New Haven Clock Co. “Austrian” 30-day, ca. 1900.  An uncommon model, 47 inches long in cherry with an old and dark finish.  There is a small half-round trim piece missing from the bottom skirt. The door glass is old and wavy, the dial holds the original paint with light flaking and wear, the hands, including a seconds hand, are likely original.  The movement is New Haven’s 30-day, double-spring movement, signed, and is running nicely.  The pendulum stick and bob are likely original, the bob is slightly banged up.  There is a beat scale inside and a replacement beat scale if you want to change it out.  There is a good label on the back.  One recent sale that I can find, a refinished oak example at Fontaine’s in 2021 for $450.  $350–$500.
