185. $900
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Flora”, ca. 1883. A 38-inch walnut
case with an old finish. The dial glass is old, the lower glass modern. The signed dial holds old, possibly original paint
with chipping around the strike winding arbor. I think the hands are replacements. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement
is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong. It is driven by two brass weights that are not ST issue but do the job. There is an ST pendulum stick and brass bob, and a black label on the bottom. Note the carvings on the sides. AAC sold
a similar example in cherry in 2022 for $1500. $900–$1500.
