176. $600
E. Howard & Co. “No. 70 Regulator”, ca. 1920. A 31-inch
walnut case with a clean finish. Both glasses appear to be original, but the tablet has been repainted. The dial holds
very old paint with considerable crackling, faded numbering and signature, and some touch-up at screw holes and the center openings;
the hands are original. The Howard No. 70 movement is running without issue. The pendulum stick has been repaired at the
top; the weight is correct. There is a wooden weight shield and a Howard tie-down. A nice example. $600–$900.
