167.           $250

Seth Thomas “Office Calendar No. 13”.  A 48-inch oak case, probably made in the last 50 years as I see no signs of wear or aging on the clean case.  The door glass is modern.  The dials appear to be old but have been repainted, and the time dial has had very poor touch-up work and will need to be repainted. The hands are modern.  The 8-day, time-only, weight-driven movement is unsigned; it is running without problem and the calendars are advancing, driven by a proper weight.  The movement and R.T. Andrews calendar mechanism are as shown for this model in Ly,Calendar Clocks, page 257.  There is a damascened brass pendulum bob.  There is a label inside cautioning against oiling the calendar mechanism.  This is not a common model; I can find a couple of sales on LiveAuctioneers, while Horton’s sold one in 2018 for $1550.  $250-$750.
