Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 3”, ca. 1878. The Fashion No. 3 introduced the solid walnut case and full glass door with ‘Fashion’ in gold leaf lettering. The case is 32
inches tall with a polished finish; the door glass is old, the lettering complete. Both dials have been repainted, the calendar
dial by The Dial House. The hands are correct. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement was made by Seth Thomas solely for
the SCCC, as stamped on the movement; it is running and striking. The replacement R.T. Andrews calendar movement advances properly
with the time. Note the star pendulum bob that came with this model; it lacks the leaf embellishment normally present on the
top of the bob. Several good labels inside. AAC has sold six of this model in the past several years for an average of
$719. $600–$900.
