140. $400
Ansonia Clock Co. “La Roche”, ca. 1901. Another beautiful
14-inch porcelain case in deep blue-green with a lovely maiden on the front – this exact clock is shown in Ly, Ansonia Clocks &
Watches on page 622. As with all the clocks from this spectacular collection there are no chips, cracks, crazing, or flaws,
and the colors are all strong. The dial glass is beveled, the porcelain dial is signed with the Ansonia logo, and the visible
escapement has ruby pallets and proper hands. The Ansonia 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking as required. This is not an uncommon model, but the colors here are outstanding. $400–$600.
