137.           $150

Waterbury Clock Co. “Marnay” crystal regulator, ca. 1914. A 12.5-inch mahogany and brushed brass crystal regulator with four beveled glasses and a porcelain dial.  This clock is described on page 149 of Ly’s Waterbury Clocks & Watches (Vol. 1).  It came in brushed brass (as here) or in rich gold plating, with a mahogany base and top.  The porcelain dial has a crack on the left side, the hands are original and as shown in the catalog illustration.  The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong.  A good label on the bottom of the case.  An uncommon clock, with no auction sales in the last decade; RO Schmitt’s sold one in 2012 for $325.  $150–$250.
