128. $25
Waterbury Clock Co. “Chime No. 495”, ca. 1925. A traditional
humpback, just like your grandma had, 22.5 inches across and 11 inches tall in clean mahogany (or possibly walnut) with a convex glass
over the silvered dial. The brass bezel has been polished down to copper, the dial shows wear, the hands are original. The 8-day signed Waterbury movement is running, striking, and chiming the quarter hours (Westminster) on five rods. The chime
is very slow and the movement could stand a cleaning. $25–$125.
