118. $50
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Arch Top”, ca. 1880. A popular shelf
model, 15.5-inches tall in mahogany with a thick and dark patina. The burl on the bottom front panel looks good, while there
are some nicks to the base on both sides. The dial glass is likely original, but the dial is an aluminum replacement with a
poorly printed dial. The hands are appropriate. The signed 8-day, time-and-strike movement will run for a bit and will
strike, but needs a bit of attention, perhaps just cleaning. There is a good label obscured by the alarm (untested), bell and
gong. The average sale price for this model on AAC is $232. $50–$150.
