113. $100
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Chicago”, ca. 1874. A 17.5-inch
case with rosewood veneer and a polished finish. The brass has been polished and the gilding repainted; both glasses are old,
the tablet repainted in a style typical of this period. The numbering on the dial has been strengthened, not quite professionally;
the hands are correct. The ST 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking on a wire gong; there is an alarm hooked
up but not tested. A good label from Thomaston inside. This clock is a member of the “City Series”. $100–$200.
