98.              $50

American Clock Co. 30-hour steeple, 1850-1879. The ACC was a retailer in New York City on Cortland St, along with other clock retailers, all of whom purchased their merchandise from Connecticut clockmakers.  This 20-inch sharp gothic has rosewood veneer on the front and mahogany veneer on the sides; the left finial tip is broken off.  Both glasses are period/original with the decalcomania tablet well preserved.  The painted dial is in good shape, the hands period.  The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is unsigned; it will run with some adjustment and strikes the iron bell.  The pendulum rod needs to be twisted to get the pendulum bob to hang properly.  There is a good label inside.  $50–$100.
