97. $50
Chauncey Boardman 30-hour steeple fusee, 1847-1850. A 20-inch sharp gothic with polished mahogany veneer and two period/original glasses, the tablet painting largely lost. The
contoured painted dial looks original and is clean with little flaking; the hands are likely original. The 30-hour time-and-strike
fusee movement is signed and running, striking on the wire gong; it is the movement Boardman patented with Joseph Wells in 1847, as
indicated on the movement. The fusees are wood. There is most of a blue label inside. $50–$100.
