Brewster & Ingrahams steeple, 1843-1852. The 20-inch case has rosewood veneer with an old finish and ripple trim around the door.  The dial glass is modern, the frosted and cut-glass tablet is period/original.  The dial is also likely original, signed and touched up at the top.  The hands are likely original.  The signed brass, time-and-strike movement has large brass springs and likely runs for 8 days; it will strike but not run.  There is an alarm hooked up at the bottom of the case (untested) and a good label on the backwall. $100–$200.
