92. $250
Brewster & Ingrahams steeple with finial
crosses, 1843-1852. A 19-inch mahogany case with a clean finish and two old glasses; the dial glass putty looks like it may
have been replaced; the tablet glass is held in place with wood strips and is original, and remarkably well-preserved. The metal
dial holds the original paint with some chips and proper period hands. The 30-hour brass movement is signed and running, striking
on a wire gong; note the brass springs. There is a good label inside with a Daniel Pratt, Jr over-paste as the retailer in Boston. This is a nice example of a rare clock; AAC sold a similar example in 2022 for $379. $250–$400.
